Die Herbstsvollversammlung der COMECE findet von Mittwoch, den 26. Oktober 2011, bis Freitag, den 28. Oktober 2011 in Brüssel statt. Das Hauptthema der Plenarversammlung, an der voraussichtlich 23 Bischöfe teilnehmen werden, ist der „Die Finanzkrise und die Zukunft der Europäischen Integration“ gewidmet.

Die Bischöfe werden die wirtschaftlichen und politischen Ursprünge der Schuldenkrise in Europa sowie die Instrumente, die zur Bekämpfung dieser Krise aufgestellt worden sind, analysieren. Sie werden auch über Vertrauen, als Schlüsselfaktor zur Lösung der Krise in einem politischen, wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichem Kontext, reflektieren.

Referenten für das Hauptthema sind:

Prof. Dr. Lans Bovenberg,

Universität Tilburg (Niederlande)
